Peter Irungu’s program and organizational management experience spans over 20 years and is buttressed with budget development and fiscal management, financial and audit compliance, whilst maintaining high standards of program efficiency and results. Peter brings a combination of organization and people management, grants management, organizational mentorship and coaching, leadership development skills and abilities. He possesses experience across different sectors (early childhood development, children infected and affected by HIV, adolescent education, youth programming, LGBTQI and PWDI).
Peter has served progressively in strategic management roles in Kenya and the East African region with duty assignments in Sudan, Ghana, Mozambique, South Africa and the US.
He is adept at identifying and promoting synergies across to tackle diverse, expanding, and increasingly complex global challenges. Peter has diplomatically and consistently consulted across sectors, institutions and communities and has extensive hands-on skills in initiatives management to promote results-oriented planning and implementation, with commensurate rapid course-correction for maximum social impact.
