Mirko joined Oxford HR in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Hamburg. He has travelled extensively in Asia, including spending six months as a volunteer for the Freiburg-based Step Foundation at the School for Life in Thailand, an education and development project for orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds near Chiang Mai. As a mentor for the integration project Weichenstellung by the ZEIT-Foundation in Hamburg, he supported children of refugees with their learning and introduced them to cultural events around Hamburg. As a founding member of Beyond Borders e.V., a non-profit association for education, art, and intercultural exchange, Mirko helped to organize a range of projects with a focus on intercultural encounters.
He is now currently studying a Masters of Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews. During the past year he has also been supporting two German students remotely in French, English and German on a voluntary basis via the Learning Platform Corona School (now called LernFair), set up to mitigate learning inequalities in Germany during the pandemic.
”By joining Oxford HR, I am excited to learn from the team’s experience regarding the for-purpose sector and to contribute, as well as I can, to Oxford HR’s having a positive impact on the sector and beyond.
