Alan Velecky

Alan is a Chartered and HCPC Registered Occupational Psychologist and leadership coach with over 20 years’ experience consulting to global organisations across sectors and geographies. After a first career in broadcasting, he retrained as a psychologist, working for a number of consulting firms including Kaisen and Deloitte, and now works independently, including for Oxford HR. His areas of expertise include leadership assessment, development and coaching, talent management, and helping organisations survive and thrive through change and transformation. As well as completing an executive coaching training programme, he is currently studying for a Diploma in Applied Neuropsychology in Bristol, which reflects his underlying interest in understanding at a deep level how managers and leaders think and feel, and how to help them overcome challenges.

Alan is accredited to use a wide range of personality and ability measurement tools, and to apply them in conjunction with psychological interviewing to provide individuals and organisations with powerful insights into motivations, ‘derailers’ and future potential. He has worked globally across sectors including Government and Public Sector, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Professional Services and the For-Purpose Sector. His passion is to make leaders and their workplaces happier and healthier, and better able to achieve ethical goals.

Helping leaders become their best selves is what motivates me, and I find this purpose all the more inspiring when those leaders are involved in such worthwhile and important causes.
