Head of Partnerships is a key role within Embrace the Middle East, a non-governmental, interdenominational Christian charity supporting humanitarian projects in the Middle East.Â The role will oversee and develop the charityâ€™s partnerships and grant-making strategies and assist the Chief Executive as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team. The successful applicant will provide operational leadership, establish and implement a programme for raising institutional funding, and manage overseas teams and establish and maintain trusting relationships with partners.

For almost 160 years, Embrace (formerly BibleLands) has been working to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, and has extensive experience and expertise in this region. Embrace supports over 40 partner organisations in Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine which are Christian-led but who provide care for all those in need, regardless of faith or nationality. Most of their beneficiaries are Muslims. Today, with an annual programme spend of over Â£2 million, Embrace is the biggest UK Christian development charity focused exclusively on the Middle East.
Necessary requirements for the job include extensive experience of international development, excellent networking and senior management skills, and significant experience of strategy development and implementation. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in international development leadership, detailed knowledge of budgeting, financial management and monitoring,Â with experience and ability to work with Christian and faith-based organisations cross-culturally. Applicants for this post are required to have a Christian commitment and be able to uphold our Christian ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under the terms of the Equality Act 2010.
