Luke Addison

Luke Studied English and Drama at University of Winchester, which developed into Drama Teaching, where he was responsible for teaching core skills such as personal development, confidence, self-esteem and Peace Studies to various age ranges and abilities, from young children to vulnerable adults, refugees and the elderly.

Whilst studying he also became very involved and active with the Winchester Rotary Club, helping on projects and eventually founding and chartering a Winchester Rotaract Club – the Youth branch of Rotary – where he ran multiple projects encompassing homelessness, elderly care and education.

Luke was also privileged to serve as the Chair of Rotaract in Great Britain and Ireland from July 2016 to July 2017, a position which resulted in an introduction to PeaceJam ( – an international peace organisation which works with the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates such as Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama and Rigoberta Menchu Tum. He attended a conference with Desmond Tutu, mentored 20 young people over a weekend, then and brought the idea back to Winchester and founded a PeaceJam Winchester, subsequently holding three conferences with the following keynote speakers: Jody Williams (2015), Rigoberta Menchu Tum (2016) and Leymah Gbowee (2017). The University has since confirmed their support for this programme for the next three years.

Luke attended the International Peace Bureau Peace Conference in October 2015 and was elected as a new, and also the youngest, member of the Council.
