Volunteering Matters are about improving health and wellbeing, building capacity in communities and inspiring individuals through the reciprocal nature of their transformative volunteering programmes. They engage over 35,000 volunteers every year – a figure that they want to grow over the coming years – and currently have more than 150 active projects across the UK.

The Director of Strategy is a new post, and speaks to Volunteering Matters’ ambition of leading UK volunteering in policy and practice.

Responsible for all of Volunteering Matters’ strategic interventions at all levels and across all pillars of activity, the directorate includes Policy and Performance, Impact, European Policy and Public Affairs. The directorate will be charged with analysing the external environment, explaining complex delivery and social models and putting the case for Volunteering Matters interventions and solutions to a broad stakeholder audience.

The Sabre Trust is a development organisation working in close collaboration with the local education authorities in the Central and Western Regions of Ghana, to support the implementation of the Ghana Education Service’s plans to scale up quality kindergarten education nationwide.In the absence of the Country Director, the Interim Country Director will lead and manage the Sabre Trust team in Ghana and ensure that systems, processes and procedures meet the requirements of all stakeholders internally and externally. The Interim Country Director will also contribute to the strategic and organisational development of the Sabre Trust.

The Executive Team is responsible for producing and leveraging the Responsible Mining Index in service of achieving the Foundation’s goals, and for the leadership of the organization. The COO is primarily responsible for the financial health of the Foundation and garnering the active participation of stakeholders, while managing the day-to-day operations functions with the support of 2-3 staff members.
