Overview

St Christopher’s Fellowship, is a children’s charity that has been providing care and support to young people since 1870.

They are also now one of the leading providers of services for vulnerable children and young people, which extends to include fostering, children’s homes and accommodation and support for those aged 16 and over. Over the years, St Christopher’s has helped thousands of children and young people to thrive, develop, and move towards independence.

Following the recent promotion of the previous post holder into the role of Head of Finance, St Christopher’s seeks another inspirational Finance Manager, to take effective responsibility for the day to day running of the Finance Department.

The Finance Manager has a relatively broad role which encompasses the management of a small team, the production of the monthly management accounts, support with the annual budgeting process, liaison with budget holders, assisting with the development of finance related systems and deputising for the Head of Finance. You will also ensure that effective financial controls are in place and reviewed regularly, show passion for continuous improvement of the finance function and thereby play a significant part in the future growth and development of the charity.

You will also come to the role with a recognised accounting qualification, experience of management accounting, budgeting and the preparation of statutory accounts, the ability to line manage and be able to support senior management on a range of financial matters.
