Overview

The National Energy Foundation (NEF), is a national, independent charity that has been at the forefront of improving the use of energy in buildings since 1988.

We aim to provide people, organisations and government with the knowledge, support and the inspiration that they need to understand and improve the use of energy in buildings.

We have pioneered resource efficiency, and how the better use of energy in buildings can minimise cost without sacrificing comfort, for the benefit of individuals and society.

Organisations trust our independent, comprehensive and cost-effective advice to improve all aspects of the demand, generation and management of energy in new and existing buildings. We have helped to save energy, cut costs, target improvements, reduce carbon emissions, engage stakeholders, build capacity, improve occupant comfort, realise sustainability targets and tackle fuel poverty.
